Saturday 20th February

In the desert (a final reflection on wilderness, with links to Ezekiel 37)
There are times
When we stand
In the desert:
The stench of death
Choking our nostrils:
Dust in our eyes,
And the deafening silence
Of oppression
Filling our ears.
Times when questions
Swirl amid our anguish
And the demise
Of our hope.
At such times
We can only
Wait for the breath
Of the Spirit
Which will surely come.
