The transfiguration (Mark 9:2-12)

Just for a moment

It is as if

Heaven touches earth

And the two are one

Bathed in a light

Of dazzling glory.

I do not want

The moment to fade

And yet it must.

I did not know

That a greater wonder

Was yet to come.
