A Prayer for Palm Sunday

We cry hosanna, Lord.

We stand with the crowd and praise you.

We want to see you come in power and might

To change the world,

To make everything right

To overthrow all that oppresses and distorts

To make it all alright

Why won’t you do it?

Why do you come, not on a horse with an army

But on a donkey….

Where is this path leading you?

And do we have to follow it?
