Teach us to care and not to care
Teach us to sit still
How is the sitting still going?
It is a demanding experience for many of us. We think it would be lovely to sit and have a rest, lovely to have nothing to do, wonderful to stop....
And then, when we have the chance to do that, it turns out to be less easy than we thought (or maybe it's just me!)
Why is that, I wonder?
Lent is a time for self-denial and letting go; what is it that sitting still calls us to let go of.
Take a few occasions this week to sit still,, and reflect on what you might be called to let go of in order to find "a still point in the turning world"?.
Can you?
