At early dawn, they came, bringing spices
They knew what to do. They did what women have done form time immemorial; they came to care for the dead and tend to the body.
Except there was no body to tend to.
All that they had prepared was useless.
All that they could do was unnecessary.
All that they were ready to offer was unneeded.

Where am I, who am I when what I set out to do, because I understand what is needed turns out to be so wide of the mark.
Can I let God do whatever it is God is doing, and not feel a little it resentful that I am sidelined.
